Successful Winter Rescue of Kimber

In February 2024, MOV Drone Workz embarked on a critical mission to find Kimber, a young German Shepherd who had been missing for 24 hours. Utilizing our advanced thermal imaging technology, we located Kimber curled up in dense woods, about a mile from home. Despite the challenges, our drone guided Kimber's anxious owner through the thickets, leading to a heartwarming reunion. Advanced Search Capabilities: At MOV Drone Workz, we utilize a range of advanced tools, including thermal drones, cellular trail cams, and large walk-in dog traps. Our drones can operate in adverse conditions such as rain, snow, and winds up to 40 mph. We're always charged and ready to respond to your pet emergency. As the first and only full-time, full-service drone operation in the Mid Ohio Valley, we cover a 100-mile radius from Marietta, OH. An external monitor is available for real-time viewing, and all searches are recorded for review.

Important Note: If we locate your pet, you are responsible for safely capturing them and obtaining necessary permissions to enter private property. We provide two-way radios and aerial support.

Pricing and Community Involvement:

  • Base Rate: $275.00 (within 15 miles of Reno, Ohio). Premium rates may apply after hours (6pm-6am) and on weekends. Payment options include cash, checks, debit/credit cards.

  • Additional Distance: $1.25 per mile beyond 30 miles round trip.

  • Included: Up to 2 hours of continuous flight upon arrival.

  • Extra Time: $50 per battery (approx. 1/2 hour of flight/search).

  • Reno Fire District Residents: First 1.5 hours free, then $50 per 1/2 hour of flight. Valid once per year per resident/pet.

  • Community Contribution: 5% of proceeds are donated to the local Humane Society in the client's name.

  • Cellular Cams and Traps: Pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis.

We also post your lost pet on the MOV Drone Workz Facebook page, where our loyal followers help spread the word and stay updated on rescue attempts. We can assist with creating flyers and other resources as well.
